Post Title: Spatial Planner/Data Curator/Training Material Developer
Duration: Until 1st April 2028 (two years)
Location: Accra, with field missions as required
Deadline: 30th April 2025
Knowledge
- MSc degree in spatial planning / geoinformatics (with strong affinity with spatial planning);
- Intimate familiarity with spatial, environmental, and economic planning actors, their databases, and procedures to acquire data;
- Preparing formal arrangements for data sharing;
- Spatial databases used in government agencies;
- GIS operations of data curation;
- Online geodatabases, both proprietary and open software;
- Desirable: knowledge of online learning platforms.
Experience
- At least 5 years of work experience;
- Develop training materials for at least 3 different projects;
- Experience with development of online courses is a benefit;
- Development and maintenance of at least 2 project databases;
- Experience with use and management of online database tools;
- Desirable: Management of an interorganizational or transnational database.
Expected Tasks
- Spatial data collection and data management;
- Develop training materials for national and international purpose by national, Abidjan Convention, and Geoversity guidelines.

- Proactive but in coordination with the rest of the team;
- Drive results (focusing on impact);
- Excellent level in English, both written and spoken (C1);
- Command of the French language at B1/B2 level for basic oral and written communcation is beneficial.
